MSP No. 6 – SMS Arcona I
SMS Arcona I was a steam corvette of the Kaiserliche Marine launched on 7 May 1885 and commissioned on 1 December 1889.
Following her initial trials, SMS Arcona I was placed into reserve for several years. She was reactivated in 1892, and initially saw service in the Americas and East Africa. In early 1894, she was assigned to the Ostasiatische Squadron. While in East Asia, she participated in the initial occupation of Kiautschou, 1897-1898, and the Philippine Crisis of 1898.
In 1899 she returned to Germany, where she was decommissioned on 6 June 1899.
