SMS Condor was an unprotected cruiser of the Kaiserliche Marine launched on 23 February 1892 and commissioned on 9 December 1892.

SMS Condor‘s initial service was in home waters and the Ostafrikanische Station.  She was reassigned to the Ostasiatische Station in Tsingtau in 1903, and would serve there until 1913.  During that period, she would participate in the suppression of unrest in Samoa, Marshall-Inseln, and Karolinen, and would make numerous cruises throughout the South Seas colonies.

In late 1913, it was discovered that her hull was in bad shape, and she was returned to Germany.  She was used as a storage hulk beginning in 1916, and was stricken on 18 November 1920.
