Berlin Initial Printing

In 1898/1899, the Reichsdruckerei printed a small quantity of approximately 2 sheets (200 stamps) of each value for the Reich Postal Ministry. This printing is known as the Berlin Urdruckausgabe, or Berlin initial printing.

This printing can be very difficult to distinguish from the released Jaluit Issue and the Bern Issue, differing only slightly in minor print details.
