The 1901 wrapper features a 10 Para overprint on 5 Pf stamp, in Roman font and all caps. The overprint differs from other wrapper issues in several ways. The numerals are below the text, the tops of the A’s in “PARA” do not have serifs, and the wrapper still uses the “REICHSPOST” Germania issue as opposed to the later “DEUTSCHES REICH” Germania issues.

The size of the wrapper as issued was 148mm x 300mm.
