This series was issued in 1938 to commemorate the 1938 “Der Sammler am Feierabend” stamp show on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of Leipzig.
The cards depict Saxon postal carriers, postal service, and postillions, and are the same pictorial designs used on the 1938 Saxon Stamp Show issues.
Commemorative cancels were available at the stamp show, 16 October 1938.
