MSP No. 43 – SMS Fürst Bismarck
SMS Fürst Bismarck was an armored cruiser of the Kaiserliche Marine launched on 25 September 1897 and commissioned on 1 April 1900.
Shortly after her sea trials, SMS Fürst Bismarck was sent to the Ostasiatische Station in Kiautschou due to the Boxer Uprising. She would then spend approximately 9 years assigned to the Ostasiatische Station, from which she would voyage throughout East Asia.
In 1909, she returned to Germany where she converted into a training ship. She would serve in various training roles until finally being scrapped in 1919-1920.
