MSP No. 60 – SMS Condor
SMS Condor was an unprotected cruiser of the Kaiserliche Marine launched on 23 February 1892 and commissioned on 9 December 1892.
After a lengthy period of service at Ostafrikanische Station, SMS Condor was assigned to Australische Station from mid-1903 to 1913. While assigned to Australische Station, SMS Condor made frequent voyages through Germany’s Pacific colonies.
In November 1913, SMS Condor was ordered to return to Germany, where she was decommissioned on 30 March 1914.
