Feldpost Airmail Forgery
In 1943, the British forged the German Feldpost Airmail stamp. It was printed in 4x5 sheets.
The stamp differs from the original in several ways. It’s perforated K 12 1/2 on grey paper, while the original is perf 13 1/4:14 or rouletted on white paper.
Additionally, the forgery has design differences — the antenna loop is open at the top, there is a row of dots aft of the rudder, and the lines in the aircraft door are not complete.
Original / Forgery Comparison
The forgery is not known to have been used.
