This series was issued in to commemorate 1936 Philatelistentag (Philatelists Day). The left side of the card features Lauenstein Castle.
Varieties also exist with the castle on the right due to improper cutting from the large sheet in which they were printed.
Commemorative cancels were available in Lauenstein and Königsberg.
