Airmail Issues
These airmail stamps were issued in November 1941 to support the LVF. The stamps depict aircraft flying over France.
The stamps were printed in sheets of 25.
Imperforate varieties also exist.
A wide variety of plate flaws and printing variations exists for these issues (primarily MiNr. III).
Finally, as with many French stamps of the period, Ministerblocks were also printed with the base design without secondary colors. Each Ministerblock is on a thick paper, with an embossed logo of the Institut de Gravure in Paris.
For overprints of these issues, see the 1942 Airmail Overprints.
