This set of German occupation stamps was issued on 22 October 1943, and was valid only through 29 October 1943. The stamps are Italian issues which were overprinted during for use in the Ionian Islands, then overprinted again for the German occupation.
Two colors of overprint exist — black (suffix “I”) and red (suffix “II”). Numerous overprint varieties exist, including inverted overprints as shown above on MiNr. 3 II K.
