Small Coat of Arms Coils
In July 1938 (MiNr. 292 D x) and August 1938 (MiNr. 290 D x), Danzig began issuing two values of the previous small coat of arms issues (MiNr. 290 & 292) in coils. They can be differentiated from sheet versions by the syncopated perforations.
These stamps can be distinguished from prior issues of the same design by the use of a swastika watermark.
All have vertical gum rippling, and the 10 Pfennig value can also be found with horizontal gum rippling.
For similar issues see MiNr. 193-201, MiNr. 193 D-194 D, MiNr. 214-215, MiNr. 216, MiNr. 236, MiNr. 243-244, MiNr. 245-250, MiNr. 269, MiNr. 272, MiNr. 273, and MiNr. 289-296.
