This first set of the “Straw Hat” official issues came into use in 1927/1928.
The stamps feature a vertical waffle watermark, though horizontally-watermarked varieties of MiNr. 119 and 121 exist.
The 1927/1928 Straw Hat Issues are similar in appearance to the later 1929, 1930, 1931/1932, and 1933 versions, with differences in color and value.
